The Game

Our game is around 45 minutes long interactive and immersive experience which allows you to learn more about the topics of drug abuse, drug addiction, dangerous societal phenomena and active citizenship in an interactive, entertaining and immersive way. We recommend to follow-up with a reflection activity to discuss the choices you made during the game. The game is mainly intended for teenagers and young adults who do not have a deep knowledge about the dangers of drug abuse and addictions and it helps them to raise their awareness about the situations which may lead to addiction and the dangers which come with using addictive substances. The game is not intended for education of professionals in the field or university students who are experts on the subject. The game was created in collaboration with local teenagers and young adults in our community.You play as a young man called Rasmus, who is a volunteer in a fictional city called „Sobercity“, which is plagued by the demons of drug abuse, drug addiction and other dangerous societal phenomena. Your goal is to roam through the city and discover local citizens, who are facing various challenges and to help them or not, but remember every choice you make counts towards shaping the fate of the city !

As you wonder through the city you also discover various interactive posters which will help you to better understand the danger which drug abuse represents to your health and also to the society.

You can also find various diaries which and interactive objects which are connected to the dangers which certain drugs represent, you can investigate them to gain various insights and you can pick them up to learn more about them in your inventory. For example here we can learn more about the dangers of cigarettes. You can read the diaries later from your journal and inspect the posters again from your inventory.

You can also collect various podcasts in form of radios which are scattered throughout the game. You can play those to learn more about the youth opportunities and the dangers of drug abuse directly from the youngsters themselves. You can read the transcripts of these podcasts in your journal later as well.
